News: Interview (englische Version)

So, hier nun das versproche Original auf Englisch:

1. Have you ever voted for the political party you voted for this year? If yes, why?
I can’t vote, but if I did it would be for the Republican candidate – I have voted Republican as
long as I can remember.

2. How does the election campaign affect your decision?
Not much… I would vote Republican unless something really drastic occurred during the
campaign.

3. Do you go to campaign events; and if yes, why?
I have never gone – Federal employees are not allowed to openly campaign.

4. What is your opinion about George W. Bush and the past eight years?
Poor choices; support for the rich and big businesses; huge debt deficit…Not a very good
eight years.

5. What do you think about the political party you are not voting for?
Obama is very charismatic, and a great speaker. He has played fair, and did not really get
involved in mud‐slinging. They ran a great campaign. I was surprised Hillary Clinton was not
chosen for running mate.

6. Which of your candidate‘s issues correspond most to your own opinion?
Strong U.S. defense policy

1. Have you ever voted for the political party you voted for this year? If yes, why?
Yes – because I liked the candidates.

2. How does the election campaign affect your decision?
It serves to reinforce my opinion about the candidate I had planned on voting for..unless
some major “skeleton” is brought out of the closet.

3. Do you go to campaign events; and if yes, why?
No.

4. What is your opinion about George W. Bush and the past eight years?
I don’t like the Iraq War, but I also hate how Americans tend to blame all their problems of
the country on the current president… He has to deal with some really awful things i.e.,
terrorist attack 9/11 and hurricane Katrina.

5. What do you think about the political party you are not voting for?
I won’t be mad if they won… I don’t think they are horrible, but if they do win, I don’t expect
to see much of a change.

6. Which of your candidate‘s issues correspond most to your own opinion?
Ending the war in Iraq.
